What was your job in the military?

Mortarman- infantry with specialization in medium- range, high angle of fire munitions.

What was the best part of serving in the military?

Making bonds with complete strangers and knowing no matter what, when, or why, they will be there for you - and you for them.

What does it mean to be a Veteran at UF?

Being a student at UF is already prestigious enough, but to walk this campus with few others knowing what you have done and where you have been is very humbling.

What is something that not many people know about you?

I am addicted to playing the guitar. I lose myself in music when I get the opportunity or feel the need to withdraw from the world for a little while.

BEST food you ate in the military?

Jordanian cuisine while in Afghanistan.

WORST food you ate in the military?

Chili Mac MRE (meal ready-to-eat) with 6-year-old Skittles.

Is there anything you want the UF campus and community to know about Veterans?

Although Veterans don't expect gratitude for what they have done, they will never turn it down. It is very heart-warming to feel as if our sacrifices are appreciated. Also, we are humans, no matter how old, weird, or isolated. Talk to us; we know other things than military and maybe you'll find a friend among us.
